Founder Trustee

Ms. Neelam Mohan

In 2007, Mrs. Mohan had a dream - one that would celebrate the memory of her parents while making a positive difference to the lives of senior citizens. The Panchvati trust was born - an endeavour to be part of a change in our society. A successful entrepreneur, Neelam has won several awards and accolades for being a ‘star exporter’, now retired from active participation in business. Leading by example, she is the pioneer in creating short stay assisted living homes for adults in a congenial, loving environment.

Mr. Sidharth Mohan

A management graduate from the University of Michigan, Sidharth brings with him a new vision and an innovative management style. Independent and ambitious, he ranks amongst the brilliant new faces in the Indian garment export industry.

Mrs. Pallavi Mohan

After studying design from the University of London, she is the creative and marketing head of Magnolia, the family export house. She also sells fashion garments under her own label "Not so Serious".

Ms. Ruchi Sharan

Post graduate in English, Ruchi has several years' experience in the hospitality sector. She has been actively involved with the USAID programme for population control in the villages of Uttaranchal.

Shri Ashok Chandra

(retd. I.A.S.) is presently the chairman, Sir Gangaram Society, and an advisor to Barclays Bank. He has served the union government as secretary in various ministries. His vast experience in dealing with diverse challenges brings invaluable perspective on the activities of the trust.

Ms. Runa Banerjee

General Secretary of S.E.W.A. Runa, awarded by a Padamshree, has tirelessly strived for over 25 years towards promoting economic independence to underprivileged women. To date, more than 7000 women have benefited from her efforts.

Mr. Mathew Cherian

Member of the NGO Task force of the Planning Commission, Member of Grants Approval Committee of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Member of Core Committee of National Human Rights Commission, Mathew currently serves full time as Chief Executive of HelpAge India based in New Delhi, and is also on the International boards of HelpAge International and GuideStar International. He has been the constant support and advisor to Panchvati.

Maj. Jasbir Singh

An engineer with vast administrative experience, he has been actively involved in seniors' issues and was instrumental in setting up and managing Delhi's first "pay - and - stay" home for senior citizens.

Mr. Kuldip Kakkar

Fellow, Institution of Engineers, he has retired from the power sector as Executive Director. Consultant to UNDP / ILO intermittently and a specialist on project management and human resource development, he lends his expertise to several organizations.

Ms. Annie Perez

Founder and chair of the Creative Society at University at Suffolk,U.K. she has eight years experience working for Elizabeth Finn Care Homes as an Activities Co-ordinator and Carer having senior training in Dignity in care. She has also worked in an NHS hospital as a Nursing assistant in ITU, A&E and Oncology where she was specially trained for Palliative Care.

Dr. Sonali Vatsa

A doctor with Masters in Hospital Administration working for the past several years in the healthcare sector managing operations of MAX Hospital, Saket, and currently at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, she brings with her insight into the medical aspects of management.

Arun Bhatia

Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and partner with Charnalia Bhatia & Gandhi (CBG) Chartered Accountants, since 1982. He leads the Assurance and Tax practice of the firm providing Assurance, Taxation, Internal Controls and Business Advisory services to a large number of clients spread across various industries. He has served as the Relationship/Engagement Partner on various development sector engagements.
